    Complete this form to receive access to our application portal. This is a preliminary application.

  • Thank you for working with Cultural Vistas to host your international exchage visitor! Before submitting the form, be sure to double check that you are eligible to host!

    Once you have completed the form, you will be granted access to and given instructions on completing the full application in our online system. Expect a response within 1-2 business days.

    Final evaluation of the the program will take place once both the Host Organization and Participant applications have been fully submitted.

    Note: All new host companies as well as companies who have not hosted in the last three years will be assessed a fee of $300 in addition to standard fees.

  • Eligibility Questions

    These questions help Cultural Vistas determine if you meet our minimum eligibility requirements to host. Note: Different J-1 categories have different requirements.
  • Has your organization been in operation for at least one year?*
  • Do you have at least 5 full-time staff regularly working at the worksite?*
  • Will you offer at least 32 hours of work per week?*

  • Cultural Vistas will not provide sponsorship for the following positions:

    • Positions with more than 20% clerical activity (making copies, phone operator, data entry, filing, etc.)
    • Positions involving unskilled labor
    • Flight training
    • Performing arts, including dance instructors
    • Positions involving clinical or medical patient care or contact including dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, psychological therapy, cosmetology, sports or physical therapy, speech therapy, and social work
    • Programs in child care, elder care and sports coaching, this includes positions at pre-schools, daycare centers, nursing homes, and after-school programs
    • Programs in the field of carpentry, home electricians, or construction trades
    • Programs at camps or residential facilities, economy hotels, bakeries, retail sites, auto body shops, home-based construction businesses, or home offices
    • Programs involving the use of staffing agencies or unauthorized recruiters
